In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, practically safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of persons with disabilities, and promote the construction of a barrier-free environment, the District Disabled Persons' Federation recently held the "Shunyi Unicom Assistance Service Communication Meeting." The theme of the meeting was "Listening Without Barriers, Let Love Be Heard," aiming to further bridge the communication gap, enhance service quality, and ensure that assistance policies and measures truly benefit every person with a disability.
At the meeting, representatives from Shunyi Unicom introduced in detail a series of special services and products tailored for persons with disabilities, including barrier-free communication packages, customized smartphones, and dedicated customer service hotlines. These services are designed to address the practical difficulties faced by persons with disabilities in daily communication, information access, and emergency assistance, leveraging technological innovation to empower their lives.
A key highlight of this communication meeting was the provision of professional sign language translation and text transcription services throughout the event. This ensured that hearing-impaired participants could fully understand the meeting content and express their opinions and demands smoothly, truly achieving "listening without barriers." This thoughtful arrangement received high recognition and warm feedback from the attendees.
Representatives of persons with disabilities actively spoke at the meeting, sharing their experiences and challenges in using communication services, and putting forward specific opinions and suggestions regarding network coverage, service fees, and after-sales support. Staff from Shunyi Unicom listened carefully, recorded the feedback in detail, and provided on-site responses to some of the issues, promising to continuously optimize and improve services based on the valuable input.
The relevant responsible comrade from the District Disabled Persons' Federation stated that holding such communication meetings is a concrete practice of the "I Do Practical Things for the People" initiative. It aims to build a platform for equal dialogue between service providers and persons with disabilities, allowing their voices to be heard and their needs to be met. In the future, the Federation will continue to strengthen cooperation with various social sectors, promote the implementation of more inclusive and accessible services, and work together to create a warmer, more respectful, and inclusive social environment for persons with disabilities, allowing love and care to be truly seen, heard, and felt.
